Trying to fit in, Nana gets scolded and runs off. She meets Bando and promises to bring him Nyuu. But when it begins to rain and Nyu hits her head, will Nana survive? Parts of Lucy’s past are revealed, including her connection with Kurama.This is called episode 10.5

    Great series, but I don’t really get the context… Is this one in the middle or after til series?

    I got confused with it also, plus I want to know what happened to Lucy, I thought she died but on the last episode they had a ‘visitor’ and who the heck does that guy like????? I think this episode wasn’t meant to be the last one, but the one in between, an episode that they missed out or didn’t have time to do???

    Actually, “elfen lied” can mean either elfen song or 11th song. “Elfen” means either, it’s based on a poem, “Elfenlied,” which was written as a pun. Go check it out sometime. I have no earthly idea what the poem has to do with this, though… it was just freaky.

    Also, “lied” means a type of romantic ballad, not just a generic song.

    Lucy is still alive after the episode and loses her horns and lives with kounto for a year until it becomes winter and trouble happens. the manga is currently on 84 now

    Razvanro (pres ca supa nick esti de’al nostru :D ), don’t you think it would be ok to place this episode between 10 and 11? That is, of course, if you can. A lot of people seem to believe, as I did at first, that this is a following of the last episode (I’m into happy endings, but I know that no Japanese will ever make another episode to prove that the shade behind the door was Lucy. This is just their stile, to leave up some space for your own interpretation).

    This is the sad episode…. Lucy has been through so much hell and she still gets ridiculed for it. I like how it explains why she didn’t kill Kurama in the first episode even though she killed everyone else she walked by
