An unknown girl with “invisible hands’, or vectors, and telepathic powers escapes from a secret facility. The next day two cousins, Kouta and Yuka, find her. But she is different from before. After I finish watching this series i came to conclusion that this Anime is a work of art… The artist emphasize what humans are really capable of doing. We can be distructive and cruel to others and yet some can show creativeness and compassion to other people.

Well, it is hentai. There’s going to be nudity and graphic violence. It will show things that most will go out of their way to not see. For one to truely enjoy an anime like this, they have to look at the meaning behind the action - no matter what kind of action it may be.
Correction: it isn’t hentai. Hentai involves proper sexual acts. Elfen Lied doesn’t contain any, and wasn’t made for that purpose. But i agree with you about the meanings behind the actions. It’s the concept that counts.
i think its absoloutly brilliant.. its my favorite anime.. it smay be full f blodd but that (like many other things) makes it unique.. also, u notice that when u watch anime in english.. it sounds ridiculous, with the inability to pronounce the names, etc.. ?elfen lied is the best!!?

First I have to thank the craotor/s of this side! Thank you so much. I love Elfenlied. & I’m not a Fan of bloody films/animes at all. I think there is a lot of meaning behind it. I mean you can’t really make a differnce between ‘good’ & ‘bad’ characters in here. just like it is in life itself. We all are good & bad guys at the same time. But you hardly find this truth in stories.
So thank you for putting this side in the net so I can finally watch Elfenlied at home. (My pc is very slow in downloading things)

The story is great but the peverted level of this story is a bit too high for me, it looses the effect of otherwise was a great anime.

Actually…the whole series openeing is in latin. And the original is about 12 minutes long. It was first performed in the gospel of emotion ( interpreted from latin ) about 2 years ago.

Hahah, this is crazy! It’s full of nudity and extremely graphic violence, but it actually has a story!? I’d never thought such a thing existed.
Honestly when I saw the opening, and that first scene with all the exploding body parts, I thought this would be dumb. But after watching the entire first episode, this actually had moments that tug on one’s heartstrings, and it looks like there’s a real storyline here. O.O
I guess I’ll just have to watch the whole thing now.
I can’t describe what this series has done for me… It made me laugh, cringe, and bawl my eyes out. And that song Lilium is just beautiful! I can play it on my trumpet and I’m trying to learn the lyrics so I can sing it.
I don’t know… I mean, this anime has deep meaning, but it’s sort of “mudded up” by the gore/violence and all of the nudity.
It’s all sort of unnecessary… in my opinion.

This “special” episode acts between episodes 11 and 12. And Elfen Lied truly is one of the greatest and my favourite actual series.
Very nice. I always feel smarter when watching something this deep with subtitles.
A little off topic but could anybody give me the names of some other good anime?
